I'd use the frodo player instead of winamp for its carPC look, but still would like to interface the IO within girder to send time/title to my VFD, and get buttons / joystick control over the song.

think it is possible to interface that?

Button, joystick control with girder would be no problem.
Getting the title & ****...I dunno. How do other programs
    do it ?

Frodo, I have discovered that in order to watch 6-channel sound I need to be able to configure my audio filter and enable it. This is usually done through the media player's options settings. Can I ask what dll's or media player you might be incorporating into Frodoplayer?
