Here is a rar of a PSD file, and a few pre-made "skin" files for the 800x480 resolution.

Just take the 2 picture files and replace the two in the "background" folder of your "800x480" skin folder.

You can use the PSD file (in photoshop) to make a skin file with the background of your choice. Just replace the white background with whatever you want. bring the "UP" buttons to the top, and save it is your backgroundup.jpg file. Then bring the "down" buttons to the top and save it as your backgrounddown.jpg file. I also included two layers of brightness control, that will give that rounded edges look to the playlist/DIR boxes.

Here is a quick preview of the skin im working on, based on the mediaengine skin i made a while ago.
Still a little rough around the edges, but should be finished soon. Im thinking about moving some things around. I really dont want the vis window on the screen the way it is, i would like for it to be one of the modes you scroll through to save space. Frodo?

Started to work on my own skin... took pictures of my genuine TOYOTA radio as an image source...

Worked a little too late tonight. The skin is far from done, I only have the main background so far, but wanted feedback, suggestions and insults.

Note, if anyone would use the work I have done, PM me, its all in photoshop format with several layers. I'll take your result work as a payment

Heres something im working on. I kinda stopped out of laziness and realising im kinda happy with the default for now. If people are interested i may just get motivated enough to finish it. For now im gonna be working on only 800x600.

Let me know if anyone would like to see something like this as their skin.

leenas this is a sweet skin... didn't even think of putting a combo round thinggy in the mmedia buttong.
if you finish it, I'll def. try it for my HTPC.
