Frodoplayer - Audiobooks & OBD-2?

Two questions as I get ready to put together my carputer.
#1) When you shut down frodoplayer, does it save the current position in a file that you were playing, or does it start over at the beginning of a file? The reason for this question is that I sometimes listen to mp3 based audiobooks and it would be great if it picked up where it left off while listening.

#2) I am also looking to get ODB-2 connectivity for the carputer (it's there, why not?). I realize that frodoplayer doesn't natively support ODB-2, but I would like to display real time engine information while playing MP3's or listneing to the radio. So, the question is, can I run another application while frodoplayer is running and have it display the engine data? The best thing would be eventual native support w/in frodoplayer, there exists Visual basic examples of querying and displaying ODB-2 data. Any chance of this in the future. If not, I guess I can wait for the open source version if it happens and try to add it myself.

One final thought. How well does GPS work w/ frodoplayer. That is another thing that I would like to run, ideally from w/in the front end.

Yes, as long as it is playing.

Yes there is external apps support built in. (The default skins for that portion aren't very pretty though

)

As for internal support, maybe one day, but definately not until I can get my own system in the car.

You'll have to ask someone else on this one, as I don't have a GPS
or any GPS software

But it theory, it should be no problem.

An audiobook front end would be nice...that way it could always remember where you left off in the book(s). That way you could listen to mp3's and switch back and forth and always be in the right place.
Ya, I'm a dreamer....
