xtremeRS: what are you doing on this site then bud =)

RedA4: I think I'll have to modify your skin a little if I can take time to understand it. Selecting different playlists is quite hard because you only show one line at the top.

Or maybe I'll wait for the 1.05 to come out first

xtremeRS: no need to hide the mouse within frodoplayer and manage to have the software heavier then needed. Most touchscreen can disable the pointer displayal.

I would hate to have some useless code get in the way of the efficiency of the player.

Frodo, I remembered what I was going to ask earlier.

    FP has 3 main windows:
    1) Song list window
    2) Vis/Album art window
    3) Playlist list window/directory/genre list

Would it be possible to integrate (2) and (3)? When you click the Vis, it switches to album art, to vis, and song info; how about one more that switches you to (3)?

I think, you arent going to use (2) and (3) as often as (1), and it is not going to affect the display (you wont be watching the vis/album art while you are selecting genres)..

Let me know what you think?

That isn't useless code. I would love to have to option to hide the mouse cursor. If he implemants the code to do it, it doesn't mean that it will make Frodoplayer any slower. He can just make it an option so that way if you have it disabled it won't ever have to run over that code.

Adding 1 api call isnt going to slow the app down at all. You'd only have to call it once while opening the app, then once again before exiting (just to make sure your app doesnt kill the cursor for everything). You say that "most touchscreen can disable the pointer", but you dont say "all". I dont have an LCD yet, let along a touchscreen, but this API call would ensure that the cursor that the cusor is gone for anyone if they so choose to have it disabled.

I sure hope its going to be soon. I have just about worn out my left mouse button by pressing refresh so many times. Can't wait.

When you call an API, there is only one call, but that call includes a lot of stuff.

sorry to bother you guys, but I am mostly purist when it comes to programmation.

Run frodoplayer on a 300 Mhz instead of you 5 ghz monsters and you'll see the difference with only one API call that cam done by driver a few level up without any APIs.....

Up to the software guy, but even 0.0001% slowdown can accumulate and make a difference on the long run. Frodoplayer is still the fastest databased media player I know, but if we want to calculate pi everytime we draw a button, we might loose something
