I really don't understand how this would work. I mean I have 5500 mp3s, all with artwork embedded. So I would have to pick between 5500 pictures ?

again, is it possible to make the different music browsing methods optional.

So i dont have to scroll through four menus to get to the "browse by directory"

I think we can all agree that the browse by genre, method is pretty worthless for most people. So make them optional

I think being able to choose those screens would be nice, as I only use a couple of them. But I also dont know how much work it would be to make them user definable. If it is easily feasible, I think it would be nice.

You don't have to go through all those, frodoplayer remembers what it was on.
So just exit with it there and it will always come up like that.

And I use the genre feature extensively, and I don't think that most people would say it's worthless.

WHAT?! Browse by genre worthless? I have over 9000 songs. I want to listen to rock. I go to the rock genre and have it set to random. If I am in a differant mood I can set it to random in the New Age genre. Don't speak for everyone else.

I think what he said came out wrong. I for example have no use for it, and I would like to be able to decide which menu's are available. I dont think he was asking to axe it, just to make it an option

I agree with speed racer and cadence - it would be great to be able to select wich type of dirlist you want to see...

in my case, I do not use the folder view, and I do not use the album view.... therefore disabling some of the views would be very great.

I understand that some people don't like the Genre view, but its the one I use the most, and I understand some people want the album view, while I really dislike it.

All is preferance, and I think options to display or not whatever you want is great on the flexibility side.

I don't guess options will hurt. I will code it in IF it's not a pain.

It would be nice if the scrollers for the lists and stuff were buttons instead. It's way to hard to get to an artist you want if you have hundreds of them and you're using a touch screen. Buttons would be much easier, especially when driving
