OLD Feature Requests

Just started skinning this app. Some thoughts of mine, if i may:

1. I think we have too many buttons cluttering the interface. So what say you merging some of the buttons e.g. rewind and previous, ff and next, and maybe even play and pause (I'm still undecided for pause and play, though).

2. Will you implement volume slider? That'll be sweet, thank you very much.

1. In version 1.0.9 there will be 2 options:
----A: FF & RW can be clicked for next/previous or held down for FF/RW
----B: The way it is now
If you choose option A, you can leave next/previous off the skin

My goal with my carputer is an OEM look... and I think it just looks alot more OEM with

While I would love to give ya'll this, the way it is coded will not allow it.
It would take a massive code change which might break quite a bit.
The music player IS the menu/front end and that is the way it has to
stay. Sorry.

That does not mean we can't "beef up" the current menu, I'm all for
suggestions on making it better. (However don't ask for stuff on menu1
to go to menu2 etc, I can't do it)

Hmm interesting. I don't really need a main menu like mediacar has. But what I do like about MC is that we could choose our car skin thanks to Feb.
Maybe we need some type of screensaver screen that comes and goes with a "hidden button" touch in one corner of the screen. Then we could make it whatever we want: car symbol, gif animation, Calvin & Hobbes cartoon of the day (chooses from a list of comics, my personal favorite!), anime, etc.

I was having some issues with using keys for volume up/down. Will it be possible to assign a key for volume percent up/down. For example I would assign a key (lets say 'A') for increasing volume 3% and another key for decreasing 3%. This would solve two issues that I have now, (1) it is hard to change the volume at increments of less than 5% and (2) the current keyboard behavior is very hard to use.

What about advanced audio control via ASIO drivers.

I'd like to be able to use the several outputs on my sound card to power my amps and be able to adjust the levels seperately and then the ability to lock or unlock individual outputs to the main volume control.

Output a - front amp - volume locked to main
Output b - rear amp - volume locked to main
Output c - sub amp - volume constant, not locked to main

Perhaps the KX driver you mentioned is what I'm looking for.

Is there any way to change how the program looks for album art? I use hijink's album art downloader, which puts a .jpeg in the directory for the album (I use Artist\Album mode), but FrodoPlayer doesn't seem to find them. Is it because they are .jpeg rather than .jpg?

if its only a .jpeg / .jpg thinggy, simply run a dos prompt, go to your folder and enter

ren *.jpeg *.jpg

it will rename all your jpegs to jpgs

That was a good thing with DOS - you had control.
