Frodo, I owe you some more money for Frodoplayer that I downloaded, I sent it via Paypal.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am developing a plugin system
for the FrodoPlayer. I do not know which release it will make it in though.
Some of the things you will be able to do with it are:
Complete control of the player
Info from the player
Send info to the player
Access to selected events.
Access to selected objects.
and many more.
I will be releasing a plugin SDK and a complete example.
The girder plugin will be the first example.
The girder plugin will allow control and obtain
info from the player.
Frodo
BTW, this will allow some of you to add those features you wanted quite easily.

Well, I didn't want to just take something so precious without leaving something in return...
my preeeeecioussss..
Will you provide some way for plugins to have access to UI elements or perhaps allow them to subclass something like a Screen class so that a plugin would have a consistent UI with the rest of FrodoPlayer?
No you would have to have your own skinning system for graphical plugins.Originally Posted by NoPistonPC
However, internal dimensions of the app and some objects will be available
in case you need them.

Girder? W00t!
On skinning: If I make a skin with no buttons (I don't have a TSK), will all still work in a groovy fashion? (I know this is potentially a stupid question, but as Mr Garrison said - "There are no studpid questions, just stupid people".

What language is Frodoplayer compiled from?

Frodo, as soon as I can get my computer back on track, I will be volunteer to do some frodo-girder testings... With communication between frodo and girder, the software will have infinite possibilities. Can't wait to see the result!
