    dam thouse toshibas's

one thing ive thought of doing is setting the battery alert setting too 100% (or 99%) and make it force a shut down when its on batteriies which will shut down even if is doing something..

in the car it's always gona e be fully charged anyways but when u cut the power it will switch to the battery it will shut down,

but i want the real thing to work.. anyone know what toshiba's do this?

I know this is an old thread but.... Now that I finally have my computer installed I came accross the same problem. My computer won't hibernate when playing something in Frodoplayer (When the power is cut). It works when I am doing anything else. Just thought I would bring it up again and see if anyone has been able to resolve this issue.

What exactly do you mean "It works when I am doing anything else." ?

I can be in any other program, or no program at all and it hibernates. If I am playing something in Frodoplayer it doesn't hibernate. I don't know exactly what it does because when my car goes off so does my screen. I can test it out tomorrow by pulling the accessory from my power supply only tomorrow so it attempts to hibernate it and my screen doesn't turn off. That way I can give you a better description of what is going on. All I know is that it doesn't come out of hibernation when playing something in Frodoplayer.

    i have a solution...

im using a few realys and a siple circuit (which i havent drawn un yet on the pc) so it switches on the pc via the power button and then shuts it down by pressing the lid down switch.. and ive got the lid down switch set to hibernate.

Try hibernating from the start menu and tell me what happens.
