    i found that it wont do it when its playing any media in any program.. ie winamp, WMP.

    FrodoPlayer detects hibernate and standby and stops the media.
    Try from the start menu so I can know if that works, or if I need
    to look closer somewhere else.

    it hibernates if u click it on the start menu and it even works when u click the exit/hibernate button in frodoplayer..

    brady what laptop do u have..
    not all laptops seem to do it.. from what ive seen it only looks like toshiba's..

    Ok, this isn't going to help you at all. Tried hibernating from the start menu and it worked. Tried to just cut the power again to see if it would hibernate and that worked too. Tried it when playing both music and video. I don't have a clue why it wasn't working before. I tried it 3 differant times before and it didn't hibernate for any of them. Then I just started using MMC because that would hibernate. Now I guess they both work now....
    Sorry to cause you more stress. If it happens again I will let you know.

    I'm still having this problem with WINAMP. anyone have any ideas.

    Same problems, will hibernate everytime, except when Winamp i splaying a song.
