Unfortunately I can't even try that, the file is corrupt.

That OCX basically sucks. It doesn't support interrupting commands (ie you can't change a station during a full station scan) which makes it all but totally useless unless you have a full list of stations and you assume they never change. The proper way to update the stations list is to request 'next station info' packets repeatedly and then usurp the command queue to do things like 'change channel' commands. It's pretty easy to do this kind of stuff in everything except VB 6 where you have to program like a contortionist to get it to work. Maybe that's why my simple one-form XMPCR application has been open source (BSD license) for over 3 months now and nobody's integrated it yet programming the serial port in vb is teh suck.

Your style and mine differ a good bit, I could never get a handle on
your code. Although I did refer to it a good bit initially.

Haha yeah it's craptastic! I am much better at controlling serial port devices like LED signs from perl instead. A language with a freaking BIT SHIFT operator usually helps (VB.NET has one finally!)

That perl module will control any Alpha LED sign such as the commonly available BetaBrite LED sign. I always wanted to see someone put one in the tiny little window in the back of a CRX and feed messages to other drivers. I had a friend with one, too, but he didn't really have the budget for a carpc or LED sign
