1) Has anyone found a way to adjust bass in FP. (One thing I miss about MediaCar and Winamp.) Eventually it would be great to have some type of "mixer" integrated into Frodo, but in the meantime has anyone found a work-around. I currently launch my soundblaster software and adjust bass that way, but it is awkward. I downloaded DFX for WMP, but it is the lite version and I am not sure how to integrate it into FP anyway.

Unfortunately I have no access to the equalizer in wmp. Microsoft didn't
include it. The most I *might* can do is offer bass and treble for those
soundcards that support the option through the windows mixer.
(If anyone knows any generic windows direct sound equalizers please post up)

2) When playing music in FP, I tend to use the windows-explorer-file-system-window to locate my music. The only difficulty is that particular view uses the windows native scroll bar, and it is small. Is there a way to replace that scroll bar with FP's scroll bar or to just increase the size of the scroll bar a little.

Working on replacement, if it doesn't make it in 1.09 I will at least wrap
a frame around the directory box and add a FP scroll bar.
(BTW the scroll bars work nicer in 1.09)

3) Some visualizations go to full screen and reduce with a double/single click of the mini-viewer - no problem at all. However, I love the Phthalo's Corona visualization, but it won't reduce once it's clicked to full screen - you have to use the esc key. Is this a visualization thing, a WMP thing, or possibly a FP thing? (It minimizes from full-screen in WMP with a click.)

This will not be a problem at all in 1.09

4) Seems like there should be some software out there that can convert mpeg/avi files into WMP visualizations, but I have googled this topic extensively and found nothing. I would love to have some clips of skate boarders, kiteboarders, wakeboarders, etc., playing to the music. Far-fetched?

I have no idea if it's far fetched, but we may can do something.

5) I have an ATI All-In-Wonder, 9600 Pro video card with TV and FM. I have connected the FM to my car's native antenna and I have pretty good reception. But, ATI's software to control the radio really sucks. Furthermore, I don't think Radiator currently supports my card. Any ideas on how to use FP to control my ATI FM radio, (besides launching it as an external app). Anyone want some cash to write a Radiator driver for this card? I had to ask...

I know that the winamp plug bit of it works well, but I haven't got it working on non-winamp applications yet (although that is what it is designed to do).

That won't work, it can only equalize inputs on the card, not wave or master.
It can work on the files in winamp because winamp gives you access to the
sound data before it goes to the card. It won't work here but thanks for trying.

I second the need for a good directory based mp3 loader... That is the one thing that keeps me from fulling leaving MediaCar... I can't drive and navigate music in Frodoplayer without almost having a wreck... All my id3 tags are messed up and its like 50 gigs of mp3's and I don't have time to fix all the id3 tags.. I have them in the perfect directory structure though.. I would love for Frodoplayer to be able to turn of all id3 support and have just a built directory browser like MediaCar... Just reads the directory info and displays it in a GUI, not the VB file browser... It then lets you just click a directory and add all its files to the playlist... And you don't have to click through all the ID3 sections to get to the other stuff because you could turn them off and you wouldn't have to sync the database either, because it would just read the folder...

byway the way... FRODO rOCKS! and Frodo is the man... Even when I run MEdiaCar I still have use tons of Frodo pieces.. FrodoDVD, RoutisLauncher!!

Frodo, not sure how you are doing things, but if you have access to a DirectSound buffer, you may be able to use the IDirectSoundFXParamEq8 interface to set equalization parameters.

Also, just wondering why you chose to embed WMP instead of using DirectShow filters? If you use DirectShow, there is a great open source filter called DC-DSP that lets you do all kinds of things including setting equalizer parameters and use WinAmp visualization plugins directly.
