    WMA Tags?

    Hi all.
Does Frodoplayer have support for tags on WMA files? I just loaded a couple thousand music files and found that none of my WMA files (a couple hundred) showed up in the proper places in the music browser (by artist, genre, or album). I did find the files, but they are listed by their filenames rather than by their tags, which means they are not catalogued properly. Their tags do work fine in Tag&Rename and Windows Media Player.
    Thanks.

It should pick up your tags. Send me a file that it didn't pick up and I'll see if I can reproduce it.

I just tried to load the same files into a database in Frodoplayer on my desktop computer, and the tags loaded fine. I've looked around, but I can't understand it. Is there any setting that could be different on the two computers that would affect this?

Shouldn't be. Make sure both have 1.08 on them.

I just went out and messed with it again. Both computers have 1.0.8 on them, and both are using what should be the exact same files. But one can read the tags and the other can't. I'm at a loss...

There's an overflow error in the tmrCleanup subroutine that looks like it has shown up pretty often, and a Type Mismatch in frmDB-LoadSkin, but nothing else of note in the error log. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling FP just now with still no change. The only thing I can think of is that the files themselves got changed somehow during the transfer from one computer to the other (I used a firewire hard drive). I don't know how that could have happened, though, and Windows Media Player on the car PC shows the tags just fine...

I doubt its the tags but can you take one file from the carpc, put it in a folder on your
home pc, and see if it will scan that one so we can rule that out ?

Just tried that. Brought one of the folders that was not being catalogued properly over to the desktop computer, and it worked fine there. Still nothing on the car PC.
