XM Radio observations (FP1.09)

Frodo,

Congrats on getting 1.09 out! Super job!

A couple of observations on XM Radio.

1) IT RESUMES AFTER HIBERNATION!!!!! This is truly the biggest, most important feature to me since that's what I use 90% of the time. Gone are the days of having to kill XMPCR before I shut down my CarPC....THANKS!

2) Setting the preset seems to be a bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes they "take". Some times they don't. Especially the higher numbered channels. I'll try to find a pattern to this and report back.

3) When I jump to a preset, the highlighted channel bar remains where it was, so that when I use the FWD Chan or REV chan arrows, it selects the next/prev channel from where the highlted channel bar was....not from the preset channel. This is a nuisance, but something I'd love to see changed. I suggest moving the highlighted channel bar to the preset channel so that I can FWD/REV from the prreset location.

4) For some reason, when I resume from hibernation, if the channel selected was 121 (FOX News) before hibernation, it resumes to channel 122 (CNN). Again, not a huge deal, just a nuisance. This does not happen on low channels (2-digit channel numbers)..??

Again...thanks for a great update! This makes FP a truly great program!

Crap, mine doesn't resume.
I tried it last night. The machine shows signal and I can move the channels around but I get no audio until I reboot. Maybe an optical sound card issue. And I noticed the same behavior on mine, about the channel highlite staying where it was when you use the presets, although I haven't noticed the problem mike mentioned with setting the presets.

I'm using the xmpcr, not the direct. The description said it was for direct support, thats why I hadn't patched it before letting you know. Anyway, I just patched it and still no audio after hybernation. If I am the only one with this problem, along with the fact that I have a similiar problem with XMPCCar, then I would not worry about it. And I "hate" those damn smiley's!
