Hey man, did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem with russian fonts. I am currently using MMC 5.6 where i could display everything correctly from day one. Just wanted to give FP a shot, since i hear so many good things about it.
Now that the character-filtering can be disabled in FP 1.09, I assumed that I could display Hebrew filenames/dirs in FrodoPlayer.
However, when I choose the font 'Arial' in the INI I think it displays gibberish instead of Hebrew characters.
I tried changing to 'Arial (Hebrew)' in the INI, but it did not help.
Did anyone managed to display international characters in Frodo (Russian, German etc.)?

Well guys, haven't been able to solve this out yet!
Frodo, can you give us a hint about this?
How can we define a "script" for the font to use.
I don't know if are aware - but several fonts (e.g. Arial) have different scripts for different languages which you can choose from.
More information here: http://www.ts-cyberia.net/fonts_h.html
I guess the solution should be the same for most languages (excluding only complex script languages such as chinese, korean and japanese).

I would think that you'd only need fonts for whatever language of Windows installed....
The appropriave language fonts should be displayed... You can skin anything you want into it to make buttons in whatever language...
I'd think that music & video files would need filenames and tags in the appropriate language, as well.
Do you guys have your default input language set to Islael under regional setting? I have mine set under Korea and MMC displays everything correctly but Frodo player can only display a few of titles.
Frodo was addressed of this issue and told me he would get right on it.
Yes, please send some text files with the characters AND pictures of the characters as they appear to you.Originally Posted by Gene

1. Here's how the playlist look when I try to display hebrew characters!
It uses the "Arial" font which actually HAS support for Hebrew (you can see this in Photoshop, Word etc.)
2. I also attached the way the same files (in the same order!) SHOULD look.
I know you don't understand the Hebrew letters, but you should generally understand that Hebrew is written right-to-left![]()
