    WMP Vis Question

    Dear Frodo (or whoever can anwster this)

    Immessing around with my own little media player for *****s and giggles and noticed how you have wmp vis on your program. How did you do this? i can not find it anywhere in the wmp ocx. How do you get the vis in your program. thanks a bunch

    well i probably should have posted this in the general software forum, but whatever. Anyway i figured out how to put the vis in the program, but i still do not know how to change the vis during runtime. i see the command, WMPlib.WMPeffects it has a bunch of commands with the effects, but how the hell do i get them to work with my wmp ocx?

    Frodoplayer doesn't support changing the vis during runtime - we change the vis in WMP and restart Frodo

    The WMPEffects object is only visible to the skin. You can gain access to any objects accessible in the skin by implementing your own IRemoveMediaServices object and using the call to GetScriptableObject to return a pointer to an object in your program which you can then hack to send the objects in the skin to your app.

    In any case though, I don't think its possible to do this in anything but C++.
