    still no xm!

I just downloaded the new FP, never used it...but since I couldn't get MMC to run XM, I'd give it a try. But no go, nothing! MMC says there is no radio hardware, frodo does nothing....I know the xm is getting power because i installed a power light on the inside. But I dont know if its getting any data transmission.

I allready did the research. here. I have the XMDirect unit sitting right infront of me. I have the cable made, I've pulled the cable off a few times just to confirm its made right. And still not a damn thing. And its not just frodoplayer, its MMC.

I had a similar situation with my car pc and xmdirect. I could not get any software to work with it on Com 1. Out of curiousity I installed it on Com 2 and viola, it worked. I found out that the IRQ used on Com 1 was also the IRQ being used on my Rikaline GPS Virtual Com Port.

Sounds like an IRQ conflict to me, see if anything else is using IRQ 4, if so, change it.

    Hope this helps......

Ok, I only have one serial port. I can change the IRQ's n **** in the bios. And I can change the com port number in Windows Device Manager. I tried changing the com port number, and that didn't work. Uhm....I have the IRQ setting set to Auto in the Bios. There are like 5 settings, None, 3 diff settings, and Auto.
