    My own skin with LS

I finally finished making the buttons the way I wanted. Took awhile to get back into photoshop, its been awhile. I just reorganized some buttons and took some out that I don't use. Mostly making some bigger. I didn't get into the other things I want to change. Really I only want to make my menu button bigger on the other screens.

How do you get the numbers to put in the ini files. It tooke me awhile, but I figured it out in a crappy way using the numbers already there and coming up percentages. And then opening it up and using the mouseover to tell me if I got it right. Man you did a nice job in Liquid_smoke, I do appreciate it, and I really appreciate the PSD files. Now I am just looking for an Acura logo.
    thanks again,
    Kenny

    Both are required.

Im at work right now, but i just looked in my skins folder at all the skins i have here, and none of them have "picscrollup" or "picscrolldown" even the default skins that come with FP. The do however have "fspicscrolldown".
I just redownloaded my skin and confirmed that the 2 files are missing but FP gives no errors at all when i load this.

Also looking at the error message posted above,
    1/22/2005 - 11:00:22 PM - 53 - File not found: 'C:\Program Files\FrodoPlayer\SKINS\LS_2.0_BLUE\PICS\SLIDER\pi cscrollup.gif'

the file is not named correctly in the error, it has a space after pi

why isnt anyone else getting these errors?

    on this ... thanks

Do you have photoshop? You will need Photoshop to edit the psd files.
If you dont have Photoshop, you'll have to edit the .jpeg files in the skin folder directly. Let me know which is which and ill tell you where to go from there.

I used frodoskinner to get the positions of all the buttons, etc.

LS, I think the space after pi came in when I copy and pasted, I am 90% sure their was no space but I can do it again tonight to be sure.

BTW, I am so impressed with your willingness to help everyone, it is appreciated!

ok, basicly in PS you open the psd files

find whatever logo or graphic you want to add to the skin, and open this in Photoshop also.

Photoshop works on a layer system. Basicly you create layers and composite images on top of each other and use various methods to make multiple images into one single image.

For the logo just put this layer on top of every other layer in the skin file, depending on the source of your logo, you may have to delete the background color of it etc.

Im not at home right now, so i cant really do deep into each step, plus im not sure how much of photoshop you do or dont know, or any graphic experience you may have. But in the mean time, you can look up in the help file photoshop and search for "layers" "select tool" "blending modes" and that should get you well on the way to doing what you want to do. I'll go more in depth when i get home.
