Which DVD decoder

I'm using wmp 10 and nvidia dvd decoder but I'm having troubles with the audio and the rest is pretty unstable. Is there a better decoder that I should be using?

NVDVD is probably the best one around. I use on my HTPC. What troubles are you having?

At first I wasn't getting any audio at all but the video was working fine. It crashed. Restarted frodo, now every time I go to dvd, it freezes and no video even. But WMP works fine.

So it works fine when you play DVD's with WMP, but you're having problems when you're playing DVD's in frodo. Correct?

Then it doesn't sound like a problem with NVDVD but with frodo. Maybe search the frodo threads or post a question in that forum.

Ill give it a try. That works with wmp10? Ive heard some people say that 9 works better. Is this true or is this just rhetoric from people who resist change?

I'm looking for a good DVD decoder to use in Frodoplayer (at least, i'm going to use frodo I think).

Problem is... my (stupid) laptop doesnt support 800x480 for use with Liliput 7", only supports 800x600 and so on. So I need a decoder program which supports some kind of correction in order to get a decent aspect ratio.

Playing a DVD on 800x600 causes the picture to have black borders and some kind of squeezed image since the screen is (almost) 16:9, and my resolution is 4:3
