I keep getting the following error message 'Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"
I've downloaded the Alpha 3 version and reloaded it onto my PC a number of times, but still get the same message. I can get XMPCR to work no problem, but not the Frodo XM Sat Radio application - any ideas where to look?
Thanks,
GRod

grod: you need MSCOMCTL.OCX. google for it, download it, put it into \winnt\system32
Thanks, MajorGeeks described exactly the problem I was having. The link is as follows: http://www.majorgeeks.com/faqshow.php?id=8Quote:

Here's what I got from MajorGeeks - and it worked perfectly!
GRod
Sometime certain Microsoft Libraries can become unregistered when installing and uninstalling a lot of software. One very common problem is the MSCOMCTL.OCX.
To correct the error, first search your drive for MSCOMCTL.OCX to see if you have it. If not you can download it from HERE
The file should be placed in your C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
Once it is there click START--> RUN and type "REGSVR32 MSCOMCTL.OCX" (No quotes) in the box.
That should fix the problem.
For those of you having problems with the row sizing only
Try this out at your own risk :)
FSRX Patch Test 1 Setup
Tell me if it works !!!
Frodo
That fixed it! Thanx! But what's going on here? Although my player is in c:\program files\frodosatradiox, it installed a folder c:\program files\frodosuite\patch that contains just two files: unins000.dat and unins000.exe. Do I just leave these there or what?
