Research: What am I doing wrong ?

Hi Fodo,

My family thought I was crazy putting a computer in the car. Now with Frodo Player controlling everything they are ready to kill me if I pull it out to work on it.

A few additions would solve some nagging problems for me.

Add Mini mode button on main screen (I know you can hold down a unused portion of the screen for 3 sec)

GPS button (external) loads a new Iguidance every time it’s pushed. I use the embed mode now, but it has a lot of wasted screen space and IG won’t open full screen correctly when embedded.

Add Girder hooks for all Frodo functions.

There already is one, just edit the ini and graphics for that one.

I tried that, maybe I’m doing something wrong.
I had added this to the SKIN.INI just like it is in the MENU.INI but it doesn’t do anything.
MINI_LEFT=86.6
MINI_TOP=91
MINI_WIDTH=12
MINI_HEIGHT=8

On a side note, I just saw the Imax film Jane Goodall’s Wild Chimpanzees. She named the Alpha male Frodo. Any connection?

I also thougt about another thing. It is quite anoying that the database sorts all artists whos name starts with "the" and "dj" under t and d. Couldnt you have them sorted by the second word instead?

Frodo is great, the settings could be just more7" screen friendly, and have keyboard support. like in CF. Not something realllly important, but its the only thing that seems out of place

it takes forever and a half to come from any mode back to all music mode. I have 22,400 songs, and when I go from the menu to the player, FP takes oodles of time to rewrite all of the songs i have. I can tell when its done b/c while its working the scroll bar is not present, then when its done, the scroll bar appears... this takes over 30 seconds for me. If this we stored in memory i could switch to music without waiting 30 seconds.

If you think about it, I can boot to fp in 20 seconds, but then fp takes over 30 more seconds before i get music.
