Having problems playing avi and mpg files

New to this so forgive my ignorance but how do I play video clips? I guess these are played through the same player as mp3 files and are treated the same. My problem is browser doesn't see any files in my video folder. Any ideas anyone?

Make sure you are in video mode and have the video folder set.

check settings 1/video.... enter the path where the videos are.

Also check file extensions under CD/DVD.

Again I feel really stupid asking this bit how do I enter video mode.

The fiile extensions are all in there by default aren't they? I entered them anyway didn't make any difference.

Video path is also set. Other front ends find them OK but I want Frodoplayer!!
