    FP Question/Request

Will the future release of FP support AAC (.m4a) music files? This would be very helpful as I have a ton of these files. They are much better than mp3 files because they are smaller in size and can have a better quality (ie 1mp3 192kbit = 1aac 128kbit)

    Thanks,
    Nick

The current version already does. You just need to install quicktime alternative and add the extension.

I already have quicktime installed I shouldn't need it? I'm going to install it anyways and see how well it works.

you have to add the extension to your database
in settings1 -> file types -> add extension

then you have to add m4a and it should work now

I had that in there before I installed the alternative. Do I need to remove it and readd it or is that not the problem?

I reinstalled the quicktime alternative, removed and added m4a (and aac just in case) in th file types in fp, and I still cannot play my m4a files. I tried playing them in WMP but that didn't work either, if that helps anyone.

Well at least it's not a problem with FrodoPlayer then. If everything is installed correctly you should at least be able to play it in WMP. If you get it to run there it'll also work in FrodoPlayer.
