Hey dudes. My TouchScreen just stopped working, so I threw a Powermate in my car to run frodoplayer. I love it, it's so much easier to naviagate once you have selected your artist. It currently is set to scroll up/down, adjust volume, mute, and keystroke "Enter".
But I have no idea how i can change artists without using my mouse. Here's my problem.
I want to be able to program a keystroke (and then set my powermate to execute that keystroke) to jump from from the red section (Browse by Artist) to the yellow section (Songs by selected artist). As far as I can tell, you have to physically click each window to change which one you want to scroll through.
Do you guys have any suggestions, is it something simple and i'm just missing it? Thanks in advance.

I haven't be able to paly with the powermate (I scrash that idea, cus I'll be using the steering wheel controls to control FP) so I don't know how many prog keystrokes can simulate (4? 5?) cus in sett1/key shorcuts3 you can set playlist up and down and the same with dirlist (I have my KB set to the default to E,G and W,Q) but I kind of guess that you already know that

Hmm, thanks for the advice, but i don't think that's quite what I'm looking for. ANy other ideas?

OK what I understand is that you want to be able to scroll up and down on directory list (whatever mode you are: artist,album, genre etc) and as soon as you select one lets say in artist mode/offspring you want to also be able to scroll up and down to select the song you want.... right?

Well like I said in my firts post, you can do that asigning a keyshortcut to the dirlist and playlist in sett1/keyshortcut3.

Hmm I had some time to fiddle with it. the powermate has 4 functions (Well, It actually has 6, but only for that i could see making this work). I could make turn right/turn left scroll songs, and press turn right/press turn left work for browsing artists, but then i'm left without volume controls on my powermate. Hmmph.
edit: looks like we posted at the same time, That works in theory, but leaves me without volume controls.
