Trying to adjust everything to fit monitor

It seems that in order to get a true 16:9 res on my monitor I have to use the nexe highest 16:9 windows selectible res which is like 1280 by 769 I think. Anyway, I like the way everything looks, with the exception of small. I already have everything blown up in regards to fonts and icons, but it's not really enough. This has also caused a problem with frodoplayer, the scroll windows and text are not fitting correctly. Any ideas. This is the only way I can run widescreen movies. Thanks. Oh, and my monitor does not work in 800*484 for some reason.
