Playlists ....
Ok this has been bugging me for awhile now. I finally found where the playlist maker is (actually a couple months ago but just posting now). I didn't think it would be on the menu screen for some reason, and i found it on accident ...
anyhow, here's my problem.
Lets say i'm looking for a song which has a filename on my computer of "Double V - Moscow Morning (Vadim Zhukov Remix)"
The problem is, I CAN NOT find the song anywhere via the playlist maker/editer. The song is in my library because i can search for it via filename and Artist. But it is nowhere to be found in the playlist editor. It's not under the artists name, not under All Music, etc.
How can i solve this problem? As it is right now, my Favorites list is my list of "songs i couldn't find in the playlist maker". Like the black sheeps of my music library :lol:
Thanks, i'm sure there's some easy way around this ... i'm just frustrated at myself that i can't figure it out.

Nobody knows how i can locate my music? I have almost 3000 songs and i have tried to go through the whole "All Music" list but it takes forever

OK do this:
open your playlist file *.fpp with notepad and include the name of the file manually ;):
ARTIST=Aerosmith
TITLE=Angel
ALBUM=Permanent Vacations
GENRE=Rock
FILENAME=C:\My music\Ingles\Aerosmith\Permanent Vacations\Aerosmith - Angel.mp3
Thanatos.

sweet man Thanks!
Now the Artist, Title, Albumname, and Genre thing .... can i enter whatever i want for this? Or does it have to be the exact info from the MP3's "tag"? I don't know too much about MP3's other than just playing them and converting etc.
My guess is that the info that i put in is what is actually displayed within FP instead of just the filename?

I recommend you build a playlist and then open it up with notepad to see what is the pattern.

Thanks man, will do m(__)m

It looks to me that frodo just searches the ID3 tags and not the filenames either. its a bit annoying, be nice if there was a patch to search the id3 tags and the filename, so many MP3s arent tagged properly and i have about 4000 so aint going through them. Or if theres a batch utility to check for empty tags and fill in with teh filename i`ll be happy with that

Have you check the diferent conbinations for palylist options in setting 2? cus I know for sure that there is a filename options in there.

I haven't but i will. I like adding them manually now cause i can put them all in order the way i want ... kind of easier i guess

I was suggesting that to onlineAmiga :p
