Frodoplayer would be at the same development rate as RR if it were open source. The reason RR is updated so much is because ANY user can make changes to the source and release it or submit it to guino who will integrate the user code into the source. Frodoplayer is closed source meaning only frodo updates the code and therefore the release cycles are few and far between. RR software is much like linux while frodo software is much like windows. I believe the frodoplayer project would be much better off in open source form as no single developer can possibly maintain all the code to appease all users. I mean look at frodo's post count and how he disappeared for awhile, of course he got burned out on this.

Anyway I will donate cash for a new frodo release, but ill donate even more cash + code for an open source release.

Let us know, your one of the best coders around frodo. I installed Visual Studio 6 and I cannot even comprehend this app yet.
