As requested the eyeR test program has been posted at the first post of this thread.
If you wish to test/modify you will need VB 2008 express edition.
If you simply want to run the program you will find the 'exe' in the 'bin/debug' folder.
Feel free to comment on any issues regarding the test software.

What are the specifications for the relay outputs? I am designing a climate head replacement board (with all the protection diodes... etc) and will be selecting components for it this week, including the relays. I want to make sure whatever relays used are compatible with the EyeR outputs.

At the moment when you use the eyeR in HVAC mode it is not automatic. I have been working on automatic HVAC control software, but not finished yet as I still need to make an external sensor board. You can make auto HVAC control using VB but you will loose the auto functionality when the PC is off.Originally Posted by netarchie

The relay outputs sink to ground (400mA max, protection diodes are built in) if your just using relays to control you hvac buttons, you could get away with using small relays (12v) as opposed to the standard heavy duty automotive type.
Any relay will work as long it's a 12v type.
