I might have to post a pic to help explain it better.

The eyeR has firmware for auto-mode function but is not fully tested or enabled yet. Havent really had any requests for that feature to fully implement it. When It does get implemented it will require two temperature sensors to monitor the temp. I have been working on an OLED display add-on that shows you all the icons/vent positons etc.

If interested on the OLED display let me know and i will dig out the prototype pics and post them.

    Hi Civic,

The pic's will help a lot.

The auto-mode would be great. It's something that i really need.
Could this feature be implemented in the actual eyeR inteceptor? If it does, could it be used with the infrared remote?
Or you have plans for a new interface with this feature and temp sensors?

The IR remote already has a auto mode button allocated so it is ready to go.

The external Oled display add-on will have 2 inputs for temperature, and the display will show all features of the Hvac system.

So after a firmware upgrade and the display add-on, the eyeR will be a complete auto-mode Hvac system.

Could you post some pic's of the Oled display?

I'll might be interested in the Oled display. What about price?

Should i wait for the firmware update and display to buy?

About the 3rd servo. Will you help me how to implement it?

Ok I will put some up shortly. The oled that I'm using in my current system is quite small and not sure if I will use the size in the final product. The reason for this small oled is that it fits nicely in the clock compartment of my evo.

3rd servo is easily implemented via a firmware update and a simple cable.

No idea on the price yet as it will depend on the oled I use.*

This display is not on my priority list at the moment, but will attend to it as soon as I complete my current project. It's actually not to far off from completion, it's just that I haven't had many requests for this. Either way I should continue on thus within the next month.

    Sorry for the delayed reply

Any updates on the OLED screen? I am very interested in this.

I'm curious about running it as a stand alone board. is it possible to use the inputs and hook them to separate switches/buttons to control the HVAC without using the remote? reason i ask this is i have converted my Jeep over to electric controls instead of vacuum and have added a set of steering wheel controls that include fan speed and temp. i would LOVE to get these working. plus i would like to be able to add a second set of controls in the OEM HVAC controls, on either side of the proposed OLED screen.

sorry about the question, but if this is open-source, shouldn't the schematics be avaliable?

I got a D/A module from sparkfun working with the eyeR. To use it you simply move a slider (in the eyeR config utility) between 0-4095 steps and you will get a 0 - 5v output at the analog output.

If you need a variable output voltage then this might work:

    Attachment 58999

It can replace a digital pot in some circumstances, though might be usefull for other applications. I guess when I get my hands on a digital pot I will implement it also.

I have the Interceptor and the D/A board, but not the cable connecting the two. Can I order a replacement cable?

i may have totally misunderstood. but can the eyeR intercept any type of signal?

I have a gps based speed control for my boat:
    http://www.perfectpass.com/pp_star_gazer.html
I'd love to keep the display/controller that came with the unit. but it would be awesome if i could intercept the commands (namely, the presets) and have them changed via the computer (automated with other systems on the boat)

    -edit-
i dont know if it was clear enough in the post above. i want the pc to be able to change the settings of the 'perfect pass' brain module.

basically it would flow like this:
hit a button from the centrafusion plug in (fusion brain control plugin) on my touchscreen. it would then repeat a signal (stored/learned from the perfect pass controller) to the perfect pass brain.

    is that at all possible?
