I have a USB PCMCIA sabrent 2.0 cardbus and that doesn't seem to work either. Suppose I'll eBay a new one. Are there known pcmcia cards that are sure to work? This one looks decent and it's powered.

The Intel controller is the only one we've confirmed to work. Neither Nick or I own anything but Intel controllers, so it's hard for us to debug.

Do either of you have a pcmcia card? If you do, what's the model? That's the one I'm going to get. I want to be sure it has the intel chipset.

I bought a D-Link 2 port USB 2.0 cardbus card for PC DUB-C2 and it doesn't recognize it either. Every other usb item I've plugged into it works except the brain.... I can't keep spending money on pcmcia cards till I get lucky = /.

Has anyone (reading this thread) using the Fusion Brain found a compatible PCMCIA card?

I doubt the problem is with the fact that it is pcmcia, and I doubt the card(s) are bad because everything else works in them... So... that leaves the brain. I don't really know but I'd guess it's the firmware is the culprit. If I sent you guys my pcmcia cards do you think you could whip something up? I'm going to hook my garage door opener up to this after I get it working .

We could try... but the USB part of the firmware is pretty much stock from Microchip.

    I don't doubt it's the brain that's picky... I just don't yet know why.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I'm pointing fingers. Sorry if it came off that way. I'm just trying to find a solution.

no worries, and I totally understand.

If you want, you can loan us one of your cards. I can't promise we can make it work, but we sure can try.

email us to work out the details. we can send you a few bucks to cover shipping as well if you like
