Out of curiosity what version is your exe? (Should tell you if you mouse over the exe).

The version I'm testing with right now at the office is pretty new.. And i'm revisting the start minimized and haven't been able to get it. I added a background image thinking it needed something before it would listen. Tried 1 instead of true. Few things and no dice.

My EXE is 5.0.0.96

EDIT: Always too quick to post. Unless MDX won't start minimized without the brain connected. That would make sense.

As far as having MDX start up in the tray. I've never been able to get that to work. I believe it is RunInSystemTray="True" and MinimizeToSystemTray="True".

Everytime I've tried that I still get a window set to whatever size pixels I specify with just a solid colour.

EDIT: To clarify it will minimze to the systray. Just won't open in there from the start.

I got the same thing for whatever reason. I did get it to run in the systray by putting the shortcut in the startup folder in the start menu and selecting Run "Minimized" on the shortcut properties.

For some reason anytime i click Debug options my Configurator crashes.

I'm on the latest MDX. Tried with my config loaded and with no config. Error details if they help.

Yup. It will update all the software. When you use the installer, it gets put in the system tray. You can close it of course by choosing the exit command (right click on the icon and the menu pops up), or force an update through the same menu.

It should actually automatically update, so if it says no updates found, and you had it running all night, it probably already did.

I believe I killed the Auto Updater. When my CarPC is running and working I see no reason for updates that could potentially break something else which we all know can happen (microsoft anyone). So I'll just do my updates manually when I need to.

I'll update when I get home and give it a shot. Looking forward to the fix to the starting up in SystemTray too.
