    ok a couple of questions.

if the led on the board comes on then i assume the output should work correct?
    and
second if I just a standard automotive relay then how should I have it wired?

    Thanks,
    Yonu

As long as the ULN chip is not blown, it is a fair assumption.

Coil to the two ports, then the other side to whatever you are powering.

ok so based on what you put about the relay coils is this diagram correct?

and how do I know if the ULN chip is blown or not?

    Thanks,

Yes the diagram is correct. Make sure the relay doesnt pull to much to activate its coil. Less than 500mA is required, half of that is recommended if you are doing a lot.

Like I said before, the relays in our store are plug and play.

yes I understand the relays in the store are plug and play but i have a 150 automotive relays with a 150ma coil so I would prefer to use them instead of buying more relays

    Thanks for the reply,
    yonu

It's been my experience that if your using a standard 30/40 amp automotive relay the fusion brain does not have enough current to charge the coil. I've had to install small relays similar to the one's Fusion Brain sells in between the brain and my automotive relays.

    Hope this helps you.

It can provide 500mA to close the coil, which is generally enough to close the coil. We know it works with our relays, and if you buy an automotive relay elsewhere makesure that the coil doesnt draw too much current.
