I've just received my fb in the post yesterday and is having problems installing it on any of my computers. I plug it into my usb 2 port and the blue light comes on but nothing is picked up on my computer, does not show at all under device manager. I'm running a windows xp machine and was hoping that someone can help me to get it started as i'm very new to this product. Does windows pick it up when you plug it in and then you install the drivers and software for it?

Are you powering it via USB? Are both the power jumpers on the USB side?

It should recognize something, but then fail to install it since the drivers are not included with windows.

powering via usb, both jumpers on usb side but still nothing when i plug it in

Has anyone got any ideas for me to try or can i safely assume that i got a faulty board

What exactly happens when you plug it in? It should fail to install, then you need to install the drivers manually.

nothing happens when i plug it in, not picking up anything, except the blue light on the board comes on

I installed the MDX software first. If I remember I had to load it twice and then I played with the virtual brain before connecting a real brain to it.

Tried doing that but nothing, not picking up any under device manager, must be a faulty board, I've tried it now on 4 different computers and none of them is picking anything up
