Old School MP3CAR.com member!
V4 is available now. V5 died on my bench. V6 is being sent out for prototyping within the week.

We do still have some spots open for beta testers. And if we get more interest we may be able to extend the initial run by a couple.

Okay the pre-order says the price is $50 but the initial post says the price is not yet determined... which price is official?
You say the USB driver has not changed, however the number of outputs has changed... is this the only part of the communication that has changed? Linux support is critical for me.
Are the relay stability issues fixed? v4 was hit or miss.
Will it use the same connectors for sensors and relays that v4 used?
If these are all yeses, count me in.

$50 is the pre-order price. The final price will not be lower than $50. However the final price is not yet set. It could be $65 like now, or a little more. All depends on what we can get these parts for. Pretty much everything is new so we have little to base a price estimate on.
The driver will not change. It will remain a generic USB device driver. The coding to support it may or may not change. So anything that it runs on now, it will run on later. Worst case is adding a switch statement for version 6 that processes the raw byte stream a bit differently. I do not expect many changes to that part of the code.
Hard for me to say yes or no since I have been unable to replicate any of these issues myself. However, I have taken many precautions to prevent this sort of event. The power traces and ground traces are ginormous in comparison. All traces are routed cleanly, little waffling. Each output port has an individual driver now as well. Everything I can think of to eliminate this ghost problem was done.
Yes, standard 0.1"/2.54mm pitch connectors in the same +/- and AIN/-/+ configuration as before. All parts will be interchangable. There may be new sensors in the future that will not work with v4, but wil work with v6 and up but that is a different story.

Stuck an order in for 2, just what I needed![]()
Count me in and count me as excited

Is there still room for beta-testing?
Love
For the initial 8, maybe maybe not. We had some people order through mp3car that thought it was a final product, so they had to be refunded. I am not sure how many slots are taken up by mp3car's orders vs. us directly since we have no access to that.
But worst case is you get a production board for a pretty good discount.![]()
