Yes I understand.
I was looking for clarification from 2k1Toaster.
Can FusionBrain Version 6 and Fusion Control Centre MDX cannot be used together?
I'm just another enthusiast, the only thing that can mean for sure is that there's software in development
I've moved over to Ubuntu and don't use my Windows partition enough to download and try out any .NET-based software (which the existing MDX is, too)
(Just saying that there's likely more people to benefit from the time spent software writing than ROM-based COM command creation coding.)

I'm assuming with this new version that there is no way to only be powered by the DC plug? I relied on that function with the V4 because my motherboard supplies power to the USB ports during sleep (can't change it).
Love
If you leave the power plug connected when the USB line is removed, the FB remains in its last state.

Correct.
No. FuseGL is the future as of now.
Correct. During FBv6 development last November while I had a bunch of test leads with bare wires everywhere I shorted my laptop's supply with test probes destroying it completely. In doing so I lost my partition that could build MDX. I still have all the source (and it is available online too as it is open source) but I have not bothered installing the 4Gb+ of dev files from Microsoft for DirectX to get it to compile. So I currently have no way of building a new version to add support anyways. FuseGL has been in development off and on for over a year, so it was time to just cut the cord and move on.
It can be powered from either source (DC or USB) but no longer requires a jumper change. You can plug it into one or the other or both and it will automatically select which source to use and power the system. You can plug and uplug them at any time. For the DC Jack to work, the input voltage should be something around 5.3v or more. Anything below that and there is no guarantee it wont pull from the USB port. You can power it with anything above 3.6v though with no USB port. But as soon as you plug in USB (~4.6v to 5.1v) it will use that.

Yikes!
Not sure now where to look for documentation on how to use.
Currently the documentation for the FBv6 is just what is found on the forums. There is a full manual coming at some point.
If you have a question ask. I am usually here pretty quick to answer. If not then email. I try to keep up on the forums when I can, and it makes a good knowledge depository.

The first question that comes to mind is how to interface software like java script for example.
Using the temperature/heat sensor that came with the board, what code would read the sensor?
Why interface javascript? If you want different software to control it, then that's on you.
To use FuseGL and read a sensor, you would open it, press F10, then follow the prompts to add a label to display an analogue voltage. Done.
