Basically there is a webserver in there now yes. But it is a dynamic webserver. Nothing is written to the disk. When it gets the request, it formats it right then and there, and streams it out the specified port. No file in the middle. The format of the output stream is an XML file, so javascript and everything else can parse it really easily.

Glad the local server worked for you. Note that it needs Win XP SP2 or Win Server 2003 or newer to work.

Downloaded the newest version from the first post in this thread. It worked! The update happened and it's currently sitting at the "Add" Screen asking "What do you want to configure". It looks good, but I have no FB connected. Wonder if it will give me XML anyway. I'll try in a bit.
Not sure about "Win Server 2003 or newer" this is Windows 8 and it's been getting updated daily for somewhere around 7 months.

I did get the XML out, but only with a local web browser.
When I tried over the Internet with a domain name, I receive: "Bad Request - Invalid Hostname".
Tried a few variations and the web server on that machine complains.
I did try the domain name with ":80" and got the normal web page.
So, I'm a little stuck for the moment. Good to see FuseGL work under Windows 8 though!
You don't need an FB connected to get info. It will give you an XML all the time. However to get anything, you need things configured. Not an FB connected, but something configured like a variable, an output, or an input.
It was a general FYI. Those running TinyXP or anything Pre-SP2, it will not work. Windows 8 is newer than Windows XP SP2, so you are good to go there...Not sure about "Win Server 2003 or newer" this is Windows 8 and it's been getting updated daily for somewhere around 7 months.
There is no reason it won't work over the internet. I have done it machine to machine (Virtual Machine to Virtual Machine directly network connected through router). But you need to forward your external port at your global IP to your internal IP. Just like any other internet service without UPNP.

Hmm, I have the ISP "modem" configured to pass it's IP to the Windows 8 box, but maybe I did something that specifically allows a http (port 80) through. It will likely be a few days before I can look.
If you have more then one device connected to your modem, you have a switch in there. Your global IP is not your local IP, and it should not be unless you have a static IP dedicated for a server. And almost all modems do NAT to one downstream device at a minimum. So your global IP of XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX looks like YYY.YYY.YYY.YYY inside your network. This has nothing to do with FuseGL, this is a network setup problem.
