Well I got one but I'm having trouble getting FB to show up as a com port in device manger. Since it wont show up I can go in and try to interface with it through a hyperterminal program

If it doesn't show up as a COM device, you can't talk to it in hyperterminal.

You just plug it in to the PC, and it will prompt you to install drivers for 2 devices. Install the drivers for both of them. Then it will work. If you don't install the drivers, it won't work.

I figured out what I did incorrect for the drivers and got fb to show up in the com port now but what do I and how do I use for hyperterminal?? I know windows 7 doesnt have it like xp does so I went and found this program called hyper serial port and everytime I try to connect if says the device is not functioning.

Side not my light for the output of number 25 stays on ever since I have gotten the fb unit is that normal?

If the device shows up in the COM ports, it is functioning and the software is not. Even though hyperterminal doesn't exist in Win7, you can download it or copy it from an XP machine (along with the dll) and put it in a folder and run it from there. It will work.

Just select the right COM port, connect, and you're done. Free strange terminal programs are usually crap.

Yes that is normal. As is the second from the top on the far right not coming on. That is normal as well. There are 30 outputs, but 32 pins. Those are the 2 non-outputs.
