Also, what the lastest news with the rr/activeX controls? As I did install .NET and I think it runs a little slower now. I did know that it prob would from past reading of installing .NET on a non fast machine(epia M10k). And not to knock your app( great job BTW!), but would really like to get rid of it(the .NET) once the controls get finished...

Nope... But that is a pretty good idea. I will see what I can come up with. There are already quite a few keyloggers for debugging features, which might interfere, but since those features are "developed" I guess I can remove them now.

I will add it to the list.

Well .NET shouldn't eat up that much... But I wont be porting the app to non-.NET myself. Others are welcome to and encouraged. .NET allows for very smooth programming.

I am still working on the COM, but it is on the back burner. Right now I am gathering everything for making a faq/help/tutorial type area. First I hope to get the Skin Designer and also manual skin/configuration tutorials and explanations up, then on the program itself, and then start working more on the coding.

I have had a lot of people ask and PM me about how to get things to work, how to setup a certain feature, what a feature is, and a couple that are just plain "wtf is this, how does it work..." so I figure I have to get something together for people to understand.

Yup, it is a great idea. The non-dynamic version had this, and I just forgot to code it into the new version. Albeit is a little harder, but still doable.

Also there is a new version of the skin designer and the main software, I just have not completely compiled it yet. If you are using the skin designer and you delete something, the program may crash (released version). I have fixed this and will put it on the site soon.

i have another question, is it possible to have the software open from 2 different files with 2 different skins, what i want to do is have one button on RR to open up a skin with just buttons on, and then another button on RR that opens it up showing all the dials.

it would be good to know when the new skin designer is out too.

that's super easy - wire the switch to the two outside pins of the 3 pin analog connector.

I haven't tried 2 instances of the program at the same time... Because they need the same dll, so 2 folders could and should do it.

The only problem is if you were to change an output on program 1 program 2 wouldnt know about it. So now 1 would read on and the other would read off and who knows what the board would be!

When I look into key commands, I will look into key commands for changing to specific pages. That way instead of opening 2 instances, you are just switching pages in the skin file.

What if you constantly sample the state of the outputs? Then you could have as many instances of the program know about everything going on on the board.
