Ok, I was able to reupload, then download and open, so they should work now. My connection has been flaky the past few days, so that might account for the file corruption.

    Thumbs up

WooHoo. Finally powered up my Brain tonight and tested it with the lame skin I made. Iím using it in a Home Automation environment, not a CarPC. I donít have anything connected to the outputs yet, but the LEDs light up. I have a couple thermometers I connected to the analog inputs and tested that and it works. Yay!

Iím really waiting for the COM interface so I can connect it to my HA software package. I havenít tested the latest software. Still running 1.5.1. Iíll upgrade later this week.

What are you planning on using that for? What are your final plans?

Iíll be using it with the rest of my Home Automation system, which controls lighting, irrigation, etc. Initially I will be using the Brain for the following:
    • Monitoring my garage doors: My main HA software (PowerHome) will poll the Brain (via a COM interface) to see if the doors are open. This is based on a dry contact switch (open/closed). I will write a rule for something like if itís after 6PM and a door is open, flash the keypad lights that are right by the entryway door. As Iím walking by, or when I pass by at night to go to bed, I will see that the doors are open and I can close them. (I donít want to close them automatically in case there is something (car) in the way.
    • Monitoring places for water (by my water heaters and washing machine): pretty much same as above. If water is detected, PH will send me a text message on my cell phone.
    • Monitoring occupancy: Use the Ultrasonic sensors and Temperature sensors to monitor if anyone is on the room. If not, turn off the HVAC in that part of the house. Possibly will use the outputs for this, to control the furnace.

And Iím sure a whole slew of other things!

For my lighting and irrigation control, I am currently using Insteon. Thereís a company that makes an Insteon compatible I/O controller, but it only has 2 inputs and 4 outputs (or vice versa) and costs $135. The Fusion Brain is less expensive and provides way more I/O ports and flexibility. Ok, Iíll have to write some software for it, but thatís Ok.

    http://forums.fluxmedia.net/showpost...9&postcount=10

Take a positive input and send out a keyboard command the once the positive input goes away, send out another different keyboard command?

    Thanks

Yes absolutely. Very simple to setup and can be done 2 ways as well. As long as you know the Centrafuse hotkey.
