I don't know what a magnetic sensor would be used for I'm just trying to through out possible ideas... as for the pressure sensor I could use one for each tire plus my coolant, my oil, gas, NOS, Boost, and whatever else I may want to measure pressure on in my car. I know most people wouldn't want to go to this kind of extreme, I probably wont because of the cost but it may be safe to say 100 could sell out easily.

i really need to have a pressure sensor that can read air pressure upto like 200psi, is there anything on the marlet to do this? and possible for u guys to implement?

When it comes to something like that you might need to go custom and implement it yourself, this should get you started

I may want something like this as well but I know not very many people will want something like this so I'm going my own way with it.

    P.S. It wont be cheap

    Yes.

But you're looking at about $70 a sensor.

Well i know dakota uses these on there systems but i dunno if i could use them along with this. anyone know how these work?, they screw into a airline to get the pressure. and i guess send a resistance back?

Those are nice! I'm sure I could configure it to work with our board, I may order one to play with it.

Maybe a 'calibrate' function that prompts the user to set a condition like minimum pressure (0 psig) and then maximum pressure (xxx psig) and the program automatically sets the intercept and gain accordingly, automatically.
    It's been a while...

Good idea, but it will be rough if the sensor is non-linear

users will have the ability to enter in curves for particular sensors, though

Hi, awesome project! Do you use HID or CNC? If HID, what bootloader do you use?

May I suggest you place a diode before the input to the 7805 to protect against incorrect polarity? Also, do you have any decoupling caps for the AI's?

Also, what is the current draw on the device? Since it is always on, even a couple hundred mA is quite a large parasitic load.. Perhaps use a 5v relay on the USB power to turn it on? Although, there goes 0mA load on the USB line. Or a p-channel mosfet? And that wouldn't work if USB is always powered.. Never mind, the easiest would be to power the device from the computers PSU.

    CNC.

The input on the final boards will be protected.

Current draw is 55mA-110mA. It will be up to the end use to power it how they like... some people may want it to stay one contnuously, others may switch it with ignition.
