I'd be willing to bet that there's more than 4errr..5 of us playing with the software Some are just getting more satisfaction from it

    that's friggin awsome...

also the multiple images with auto scaling.... again, awsome..., then multiple timeouts for the same output, combining outputs, man... I gotta say it one more time, AWSOME!!!

this is going to allow some really sick skins, taking the text away from the digital inputs will allow use of just a tiny indicator for some fuctions..., stupid question, but if it's selected to not show text, will this also apply to the configuration & settings screens? if it does it would be nice if there was a way to keep them, as the real eye candy is really only needed in the usage screen, but if not & it has to be global then skinning that isn't too big a deal either, well worth it for this kind of flexability...

this is really shaping up to be one sweet interface...,

today I wired the basics up & I am now able to lock & unlock my car, start & shut it off, open & close the windows all from my laptop!!!!

    it works

so far I haven't had any problems, but I haven't dug into the software & skinning yet, maybe I'll try to play some with this over the weekend..., I think I'm seeing the disconnect & reconnect problem cause I keep hearing the little bing_bing sound from windows that you hear when you plug & unplug a usb device...

why are some of the leds red & some green?

I have more things to post later, but I just wanted to report so far so good & it's all working & fuctional so far
Good to hear everything is working, and thankyou!

These new options are only for the main page. And since all the different pages have seperate skin files, if these settings were available on the other pages, it would still be independant. That is why there are so many skin files for a program with 1 main screen!

The disconnect thing has been solved, we think/hope. We believe it was a buffer overrun that the PIC decided restarting was the best solution. So the newest firmware does not do this.

As for the red and green led's, well Im red/green colour blind, so me looking at them probably wasnt the best quality contrl test. But out manufacturer knows they f'ed up and the next big batch will be automatically dipped and soldered, ratherthan hand soldered as these were. They are actually supposed to be all yellow. Then the power led blue. I guess something got lost in translation. Oh, well, for the most part these will e tucked away anyways, so the LED's are more for show. You could claim it as a feature and hook all your starting outputs to the red ones, and othe rmisc stuff to the green ones.

oh yeah, did I mention?... AWSOME!!!
Well actually I will just put them on the website under Software --> Downloads. Right now that page is still in developement. Also I have PM'ed Red, DP, and xbrady to add some posts between our posts and the first reply, and nobody has. So I guess I will ask again, or just wait until I become a fancy mod. hint, hint wink wink.

Well we can look into it, but something tells me liscensing fees are going to be pretty high as well as the level of timing accuracy it needs...

Well be sure to post any skins or bugs (Sounds like something off of Outback Steakhouse's menu from the Congo or something) for the world to see.

    free shipping?(paypal)
And when I look for the latest software downloads on ...software/downloads
I get "SOFTWARE SECTION COMING SOON" as on the main software page. Maybe I'm just impatient.

heres the beginnings of a skin for control I've been playing with, the engine compartment will be transparent & you'll be able to see if it's running or not, an led on the dash will blink in sync with the alarm led to see alarm status, I'll have a fuel gauge, temperature gauges & misc controls added of course....

any chance of say having 2 or more main pages, like for example if I wanted to do climate control I could hit a link on this page to bring me to that control page... maybe even cycle through the available pages like centrafuse does... especially when multiple boards do become possible then more than one main page may be a good thing

Like I said, not done yet. I was going to do it last night, but instead I worked on the program. But atleast you were able to navigate to it, that means the link works! And yes orders over something like $50 are free. So if you get a brain, free standard shipping. We will have other links so you can "add" upgraded shipping to the cart because paypal does not support both formats. So a little ghetto rigging of the shipping buttons will be needed on our parts.

Nice. Different main pages... Well that would create dynamically drawn buttons, on different forms, and that is alot of communicating back and forth for a simple control program. This as the last features I added () were not on any todo lists....

Now this could really take a long long time. The entire application is based around huge lists of buttons. If those lists' order changed, currently it wouldnt work. So this would be a huge revamp to the program... Ill take a deeper look into it, but right now I am not sure if this is feasable.

no problem, just thought I'd ask, even without that this is awsome, but I had another thought... what if the main page was only one, but only part of it showed in the screen, like a skin that's 800x1200, & only the 800X600 would show, then press a button to shift to the lower half... if it's not good either then no problem, but this may be a way to give dual screen functionality with only one real screen?

    Way cool, Turbocad6!!!

Will clicking on these indications provide acess to their respective controls, in your plans? I'm thinking a hierarchical page structure might help with that.

Yes, more pages and multiple boards, please

I know I said earlier that I was done testing the hardware, well... I lied. I forgot to test one thing. It seems that Fusion brain dose not work when connected to a USB hub (at least on my end) resulting in the program hanging and the board its self never getting the message.

See how much it will cost Nick. With Bluetooth, it would be a hot seller since we could do all of it from a cell phone/pda/santa's sled.

I would help you out with figuring out what was needed, but i've never done anything with Bluetooth so i have no idea where to start.

And once i told my turtle friend below that the Fusion Brain may have support for Bluetooth, he started dancin!

Please, dont let the little guy down...

Here's a pretty sweet place to start with bluetooth:
    http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/pro...roducts_id=582

From PC it wouldn't be *too* hard..
But, it would be extremely hard to have it controllable via phone... You'd have to write software for pretty much every different version and brand of phone..
