It shouldn't matter because the board is not powered off of the USB port it is powered purely off of its power plug.

Great peace of hardware and software!! I found this thread last night and spent some time reading through the whole thing. I hope a I could help with the programing especially for the skins but my coding skills are not that polished yet!

@P3D4T0R: I for one am very interested for the streetdeck interface!
Will never be DONE! There is always something to add

Sure it is similar. It has also been mentioned already. Here are some things to note:
    That thing costs $300
It is over twice the size
    Uses serial port communication
Has only 8 outputs and 1 input that must be used for tach

    Fusion Brain:
    Costs $50
Is under 70mm on both sides
Uses USB connction with no power draw from hub
Has 12 digital outputs, 10 analogue inputs, and 4 digital inputs

    I believe I see a winner...

    >>DI_INPUTS
    <<END

    >>OTHERBUTTONS
    <<END

To make a button you will need to put it within the needed brackets.
Its starts with #STARTNEW# and ends with #ENDNEW#

Then the factors inside are all the options for it. Some are required are some arent. Youll know which ones are required because it wont work or the program will crash.

In order for the i/o buttons to work they need to know what port they are on. The Ports are 0 index based. And multiple buttons can be assigned to the same port. So on all pages you could have a button for "launch missles" but only on 1 page would there be a confirm or something.

Now each i/o will also need a PID/VID. For all the ones that are currently out, use the string without quotes "vid_04d8&pid_000c" This is now what allows you to have multiple brains. Just assign different ports with dirrent pid's to different buttons.

All the outputs need to have #TYPE# of RELAY right now. That is the only working one.

if there is an animation, it must be #ANIMATION# and then the frames are between {} and the actual on/off states are 1 or 0 seperated by commas. Then 2 colons "::" and how many time to repeat. FOREVER or an integer value. Then the last one is the starting frame seperated by 2 colons again. 0 is what it should be left as.
So let me see if I get this right, by changing vid_04d8&pid_000c to something like vid_04d8&pid_001c I could have two of these connected to two USB ports and access them both by referencing the right one in the skin file when needed?

Great job with the software so far.

On another note I was finally able to get StreetDeck to talk to a DLL I made so that headache is over only to bring on another one which I will post about later perhaps. Before I kill myself over this Id like to know how many people not only including beta testers would use with with there StreetDeck install, providing you have one or are going to at some point? I really just want to know if it is worth it... should I build one that I will like and will work for me or should I build one that everyone will enjoy, that's all I want to know.

Finally I am finalizing my study of the program and will post all the cons I have found, and maybe some pros too, who knows :P
Yea i am going to use it with SD, i plan to use it to be able to switch to back up camera and temp for now.

i finally got a chance to play with it but i figure i will wait for the 2nd firmware version before i go any further.

Is there any way to have a button that could have control over another buttons 'enabled' property, like a pre-requisite? Seems the most likely way to do this now is with different pages that look alike, but have the required options "disabled".

Can one output's state-change to on (or off) turn another one's state to off (or on) automatically?
An example would be when you turn your highbeams on, headlights turn off.
    Like toggled radio buttons.
