And other than the regulator you soldered on, have there been other problems with your boards?

There was the one problem I had a while back that was the manufactures fault where two bridged leads caused DO#8 to shut off when DO#7 turned on or something like that. Other than that and my own stupidity nothing

Although I do notice from time to time when I power the board up and the software isn't running DO#'s 1, 2, 3, 7, 10, and 11 come on and only go off when the software is started. Now, other than that nothing is wrong

great, i understand the way the coding goes just not how i can make it in notebook and save it at a SKIN file.

Click Save As and then select all files. Then type in the name FusionFormDynamic.skin and save.

If 6 outputs come on, that means you are still using revision 1 of the PIC firmware. They are set to be all off on PIC initialization with the new code. What you describe is the default state for firmware 1 upon reset of the chip (not software).

Ah that sucks... I originally thought 5v regulator as well, but mine seems to be working alright. We asked for 1A regulators, and we got 350mA regulators... So it is quite possible that the pic is being underpowered I suppose, when the ULN2003's (flat chips by the led's 2 of them) kick in and the leds...

The final version will have 1A regulators to solve this. Are you any good with soldering? At radioshack you can get a 7805 regulator looks exactly like what predator bought, and unsolder the regulator, and put the new on one. It wont fit in the same spot, it will stick up higher (probably and inch above the board with legs). Could potentially ruin the board, so dont do it unless you are confident. Also if you do it, make sure to take the PIC out of its socket.

NO!

Not 12v regulators. 5v regulators. the 7805 takes 18v to 7v to make 5v out at an 1amp. I think the date will be met. If there are no problems that is.

that sounds dangerous... I've been looking for that & haven't seen any erroneous outputs... man it would suck if my PC didn't start, so my missile launcher arms & engages

I think that would be a cool "feature"

But that is firmware version 1. The new PICs that were sent out do not do this just to clarify.

Well the output is not regulated. It uses the raw voltage of whatever you pass in. Relays arent too picky.

Obviously the outputs for the analogue devices are regulated 5v, but the digital outputs are switched to the input voltage upon activation.
