Well, to solve this issue, I'll just remove the dates ;)

I think the dates are VERY useful for troubleshooting. Keep them there.

Is it too hard to retrieve the correct date? I'd hate to see them removed!

I'm not too worried about the few seconds difference though... it works very well now.

Oh, I did notice something else yesterday. Not sure why/how this happened, but after I tweaked the brightness and contrast controls below 0.60, and saved them as NIGHT settings, the whole thing refused to switch to night ever again. I had to revert to my old XML file (which I had backed up) with values of ~ 0.70 brightness, and ~0.80 contrast.

I love this util, thanks a ton.

I removed the DATES, but not the TIMES ;)

Weird about the below .60. But the bug has been confirmed.

Also going to add RR and FD support in the next version.

It looks like the brightness/contrast bug is due to the a limitation in the gamma code I use :(
But I got the screen to be pretty damn dark by playing with the settings.

It didn't pass my QC! It's not good enough ;)

I think it is certainly usable as is. I dont think I need anything darker than 0.60, but will only know for sure when I install all this in my Car.

Good job, I really like this utility.

The other gamma controlling program that guino included can't go any darker either, so I'm happy :) :lol:
