No, it doesn't have this feature. Let's see if the feature becomes popular among Nüvi users. If it does, then perhaps Garmin will expand the range of products that include it, and we may even see it in GMPC.

Has anyone used the trip feature of GMPC? You know, the screen that shows your trip mileage, average speed, current speed and so forth?

If so, has anyone noticed that the odometer is inaccurate? While my instantaneous speed is right, the calculations that GMPC makes for distance are inaccurate when compared with my car's odometer.

That makes it look like my average speed is much, much higher than I actually achieve. For example, even if I never break 70 mph, it will show that my trip average is in the 80 mph range and my highest speeds are even higher - Even with stops!

    Anyone seen this behavior?

Mine shows an average speed of 200 kmh, which is I think around 120 mph. I suspect when I sit parked somewhere, especially in a bad reception area, my GPS location may be all over the place, and that may contribute to this inaccuracy.

Does GMPC save your traveled route? Like to a CSV or KML or something similar for import into Google Earth? I didn't see anything on their site about it, just that you can store 50 pre-planned routes.

No one has this, or no one has looked for this functionality? I have a TomTom One that I use to store my track which I can import into Google Earth, or other GIS software. Moving to a CarPC, I would like to eliminate a stand-alone GPS unit, so I need a way to store my track.

Any ideas how I can set the port number in GMPC to 5.

    Cheers
I've the same issue. The physical port should not be used by any application except XPort so that it can properly split the signals to other virtual ports.

Have you found a solution to make GMPC not so "smart" to autodetect ports?

Got this installed today with the City Navigator 2010.10 maps. Was previously using Sygic. Does anyone have any comments about the POI's with these maps? Are they better than the TeleAtlas that Sygic uses?

Has anyone come up with a solution for attenuating volume when GMPC is speaking instructions?

The only thing I have seen to do this is IndieVolume. I haven't tried it yet but I'll probably need it myself as my project nears completion.

Wow thanks for the link. I'll try it in a couple days after my last exam. I hope it works as it will be easier of the solution I was thinking of - using two different sound cards and manually muting :P
