Scratch that... Found it
Where is the feature list for 5.00.70?
It looks like they made quite a few improvements to the API/SDK/DLL on the .70 version. Maybe more possibilities are available now![]()
What are you basing that on??
The sdk is identical to the same outdated 3 year old version we've been working with. Still absolutely no documentation on the map manipulation functions that exist but are undocumented. I see the managed dll they added contains four events and is really only useful for devices...
very disappointed!

At least from what I can see, the map rendering is much smoother. Maybe they will update the SDK soon.
I was hoping there were more changes/improvements based on some of the items they've listed in their large change list.
•Ensure the C# API bindings work well.
•Changed Managed API example project to link against the managed DLL.
•Added support for more coordinate entry formats.
•Added capability to use multiple map files.
•Made some drawing performance improvements.
To be specific, (and I'm no expert programmer) but the API bindings giving the ability to open up functions which didn't work before but were there. Who the hell knows about the dll, but the multiple map files and drawing improvements... could the drawing rate possibly be increased to support 5hz or 10hz gps units? Multiple map files... could one of those possibly be an overlay such as google earth? Could the map files be from another source other than Garmin?
Got xp/vista/win7 support working perfectly...finally found the right tweak to leverage the windows api. Good news is it will work with openMobile-bad news is probably not with cf or rr (it needs direct graphics access). I have full support for overlayed controls, transition animations and resizing to any resolution-not just 800x450.
