Question for GMPC users... Has GMPC always supported gestures for inputting text in its text boxes before this release?
There are changes to the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control (MUTCD) in 2009 that are supposed to address these issues. I can't remember off the top of my head if this is one of the deals that's going to actually have a mandatory retrofit for the signs or not. I think only if there is road work they have to change the signs so that they are more clear. It will show All lane arrows and point down to the center of the lane for option lanes (as I remember, I've only been briefed on the changes) I think section 2E.20 describes it in more detail. http://mutcd.fhwa.dot.gov/pdfs/2009/part2e.pdf
Not that this really pertains to garmin, but i figure if the actual signage is correct, you won't need the navigation unit to tell you which lane to be in.

Dont get excited... it doesnt work worth a damn, just something I noticed.
is there some place where I can get a demo or something ? I've been using iGuidance 4 since its release but really tempted to give Garmin for my new built but do not want to shell out money right now.
You may want to wait a bit. The newly released Garmin Mobile PC version 5.00.70 has at least one serious issue that has been reported by several users already. Garmin is aware of it, they have been able to reproduce it, and are working on a fix: Garmin Mobile PC 5.00.70 randomly crashing while driving
newb question here but does the garmin mobile work with ride runner. also will it interface with xm for weather like the garmin units in boats do? satellite weather? or are there other programs for this? Id like the radar looking maps for weather. also want garmin to work with ride runner.
and lastly what gps antenna to use with the garmin? something that actually works.
