Thank you well, madtinker. I had a guy pick me up the last copy in Oshawa as there were none left around here.
I recently bought a copy of this as well. I was unable to get it running from the disc alone. I had to update to 5.00.70 and update the map files as well. After that it works great!
I can't find this software ANYWHERE. The download is discontinued at the Garmin website. Might have to order online BUT
Just to make sure...
I need to order the copy without the GPS so I can use my USB GPS (not garmin)?
Thanks guys!
That is correct: the software only version locks to the first hardware profile you install in on and the software with antenna version is locked to the antenna so it can be installed on multiple machines.
The other issue I am not clear on is updating maps. I believe I read the version with antenna can still be updated through Garmin where as the software only version will require some kind of a "workaround" to get it updated. Maybe someone can clarify the current situation on this.
Spent a few hours yesterday but I got it working in centrafuse with 2011 maps. Only thing is I havent received my GPS receiver yet, but simulating a route worked great. I even changed the vehicle to the marley one :) Next I want to get the Vader voice for it. A world above destinator.
Does this software not have an OSK? i thought all nav software did? how do you tell it where you want to go?
there is no osk in garmin mobile pc. if you use it with the right frontend though you get an osk. like dfx5.
the software is still ok as long as you use a new map. get it from torrents online anywhere really. i have really been thinking about going the copilot route though, it seems a lot better.
i thought dfx5 was just a skin..
i don't think i could find co pilot at a decent price, as you have to buy the program, and then AUS maps as well..
