According to a variety of post on this and the Centrafuse forums, Garmin has discontinued support for their GMPC product. Shame, too, because it was nice. Poor sales, reduction in support costs...who knows?Quote:

I wrote a blog post and tweeted garmin. Maybe we can get some more details. That was a cool product. Thanks for sharing this with the community.
The good thing is the maps can still be updated, albeit at a cost each time.
Which is what I was trying to find out. Thanks for sharing this with me. I, like others am ok with updating maps at a cost. I personally don't think they should be "free" updates unless it's like the first year or so.Quote:

GMPC used the same map packs as their hardware devices. I never had to hack anything just put them in the GMPC folder... i believe? lol
