    IDE ribbon cable

    I need to extend my hard drive or move the hard drive 10 feed away from the computer
    where can i find a cable this long ? is there any better idea to do this ?
    will it work ?

    Won't work very well (if at all). Better to use a USB to IDE adapter.

    I doubt seriously that it will work. The specification for IDE is 18 inches, although 24 inch IDE cables are prety common.
    There is a company that will make IDE cables as long as you want, but wil only guarantee them to work if they are four feet or shorter.

    Get a USB enclosure for the drive.

    yeah... my friend wanted to move his carpc and have the CD player in the front.. but at the end, it was easier to move the whole PC setup in his glove box..lol
