You're best bet is to get a USB hub that has serial/parallel ports on it or a simple USB to serial converter...
I used a Belkin USB 3 port hub that also has 1 serial and 1 parallel...

Would it be possible to use the Parallel port as a DB-9 serial port?
I need more serial ports.

I have also tried using 2 different USB to serial cables with my 810 Book PC and neither of them work. Both the cables work on ALL my other computers at home, but not the Book PC. This has been driving me crazy for well over a year. Something to do with the MOBO and USB ports won't allow it to work.
I have looked and looked and e-mailed people, but nobody seems to be able to help me either. My conclusion......Book PC is going up for sale.
